Does this sound familiar?
Many Christian parents struggle with personal devotion time.
With so many little lives to organise, appointments to remember, meals to plan and work to do, 'quiet time' seems like a thing of the past.
But it doesn't have to be that way!
The truth is that discovering fresh habits which draw us into a deeper connection with God even as busy parents is a game-changer.
Get The God-Connected Parent and ditch the guilt, as you learn new ways of connecting with God in the season you're in.
You'll learn:
* how to prioritise God when you're crazy-busy
* what regular times with God can look like in non-stop parenthood
* how to reflect upon and plan spiritual routines which really work for you
* the REAL reason you find it difficult to focus on Scripture (and how to overcome it!)
The God-Connected Parent is the spiritual toolkit every busy parent needs!

...with LIFETIME ACCESS to all of this!
...because your perspective would be continually renewed by God’s Word. You'd be regularly experiencing the peace which 'passes all understanding' as you learn to lean on Him throughout the day.
...to share your faith with those around you, to disciple your kids, to step “out of the boat” into God’s awesome plans for your life (NOW – not in twenty years’ time when the kids have left home).
...as you experienced its life-changing power in your everyday moments, learning how to read it in a way which works for YOU, knowing where to go for help when needed, and discovering how to apply it.
...in prayer, as you drew closer to God’s heart for your life and those around you. You'd be learning to rely on your Father God daily - not just for your own needs, but interceding for others.
Without a sense of why exclusive time with God is important, we’ll never have the motivation to chase after it.
This thought-provoking initial unit takes a deep dive into the Biblical truths of how God really feels about us, realigning our own ideas of what time with Him can look like.
Unit 1 content:
We’ll see that it’s not just an over-crowded schedule that’s to blame for our lack of time or motivation. This unit will help us take an honest look at our lives, activities and priorities, the things which take up our minds and how we might move forward with a bit more space.
Unit 2 content:
Now for the fun part! With the vision caught and the space cleared, we can start planning devotional habits which fit the phase of life we’re in. I’ll give plenty of examples for daily, weekly and 'on the go' habits to draw us into deeper connection with God, and your journal will be a great help in this unit too!
Far from being overwhelming, this unit focuses on developing our own personal plan which works for us in the season we’re in.
Unit 3 content:
It’s all very well making a few small changes over a few weeks, but how do we sustain this new-found devotional life for the long-term? What do we do when our well-planned habits aren’t working anymore? This final unit will set you up into the future, with a unique way of sustaining the good habits we've started to develop or extend.
Unit 4 content:
Each unit contains a special bonus video to help you apply the main teaching content in a wider context. Topics such as: "How do I say no to yet more commitments?" "How do I have a Sabbath as a parent?" and more.
Good question!
I'm Lucy Rycroft - busy mama of 4 from York, England. I'm a ministry wife, school governor, small group leader, PTA volunteer, daughter, sister, friend...I know what it's like to juggle All.The.Balls and feel like you're not catching any of them!
I’d love to use my experience of full-on parenthood to help you re-orient your thinking about personal devotion times - for lasting, long-term change to your walk with God.
As a young mum with a toddler and a baby, I struggled to work out how or when I should be connecting with God.
I never got a moment to myself, church meetings were hard to attend, and church services were frequently spent in creche.
So I took steps to discover how to connect deeply with God in my new season.
I started a blog to aid my own accountability (The Hope-Filled Family). I got together weekly with other parents for Bible study, prayer and encouragement.
I got into better daily habits of reading the Bible and praying – but also learnt other ways of connecting with God through the day.
And now I’d love to help you do the same!
As a former teacher and lecturer, I know the power of good communication.
As someone with over a decade’s experience of leading mums’ discipleship groups, I know the importance of Biblical understanding.
And as a mum for the last 12+ years I know what WORKS – not just in terms of habits to develop, but truths to absorb.
Watch on the go, as you're folding laundry, commuting to work or getting dressed in the morning.
Soooo many of my students have told me what a deal-breaker this gorgeous, practical journal was for them!
With an exclusive Facebook group AND occasional Zoom get-togethers, the GCP community is fab!
Serious! I think you're gonna LOVE the GCP. But if you don't, let me know within 30 days for a full refund!

Soooo many of my students have told me what a deal-breaker this gorgeous, practical journal was for them! The digital version comes with the course - UK students have the option to purchase a paper copy.
In both the Facebook group AND the exclusive monthly Zoom get-togethers, the GCP community is a fabulous group of like-minded parents.
Yup, that's right! I think you're gonna LOVE the God-Connected Parent. But if you don't, please let me know within 30 days of purchase, and I'll happily refund you.
The GCP is for you if...
I won’t simply be giving you a load of strategies and leaving you to it. This course is an in-depth, thoughtful look at all sorts of issues surrounding our relationship with God, such as sleep deprivation, mental load and time management, as well as feelings of guilt, struggles with the church and times of doubt. It will prompt mindset shifts, help you devise your own plan, and provide accountability for every step of the way. For the long term.
You have lifetime access to these recordings. So relax! Enjoy them in your own time and at your own pace. I like to whack them on when I'm cooking or getting dressed in the morning, a bit like a podcast.
The God-Connected Parent is structured in four units, and for some people it will make sense to try and allocate these units to four weeks. However, with lifetime access, you can spend as long as you want watching and re-watching the videos – and the practices you'll learn will be able to be used for many years!
No! This course is open to both mums AND dads. I do realise it will likely attract more women then men, for various reasons, not least because it is mainly women who read my blog, but there is nothing in this course that isn't just as applicable to men.
As long as you're a parent who wants to strengthen their God-connection, this course is for you, regardless of whether you're male or female!
As a paid-up member of The God-Connected Parent, you receive access to twelve teaching videos, four bonus videos, a printable workbook and a private Facebook community. You also receive any future updates or extra lessons to the course – for no extra charge.
Not at all! We have a private Facebook group set up for members to chat and get to know each other, but participation in this group is optional, and certainly not a precursor for maximum benefit from the course. All the lessons, additional videos and workbook are available to you on the course platform – so no need for any social media.
The course is split into four units, each covered with three teaching videos and one bonus video. The four units are:
•Catch the vision (a step back to look at what the Bible teaches us about connecting with God, while reflecting on our own experiences and perhaps ‘unlearning’ a few things too)
•Clear the space (a look at our lives and priorities, where our time, energies and headspace are going, and what to do about it)
•Create the habits (not only learning the types of habits which draw us closer to God, but establishing the confidence to select the right ones at different stages of our journey)
•Cultivate the life (this looks at keeping a ‘God-connected life’ going through the coming months and years; maintaining and growing this connection as life changes)
No!
What you pay upfront now is what you pay in total. End of. The cost of The God-Connected Parent includes lifetime access for as long as the course is online. Even if the cost increases in future years, you won’t pay any more, because you’ve already bought the course.
You will, however, get the benefit of any future updates or additions to the course. So now really is the best time to enrol!
Yes! For those on limited incomes, I have a small number of 50% and 100% bursaries available. Please contact lucy@lucyrycroft.com for more information.
Yes! I think you would get so much out of doing this course alongside your group, and would be delighted to serve you in this way.
However, I do need to make clear that the GCP is still an individual video-based course. In other words, it's not like a Bible study that you can lead for a group of others. All the teaching occurs by video. Each member will still receive individual access to the course platform and will be expected to make time to watch the course by themselves. You could then come together as a group to discuss what you're learning (there are group discussion questions in the journal which would aid this).
If you let me know you're enrolling as a group (lucy@lucyrycroft.com), I'll send you a special discount code which every member of your group can use :)
I'm also happy to offer bursaries on top of these reduced prices, so do get in touch if you'd like to chat about this.
It takes a lifetime! We are always learning. The God-Connected Parent course is designed to give you space to reflect on what our aims are as we embark on time with God, why we are doing it, and how we can develop good habits to draw close to God even in demanding seasons like parenthood.
I hope that the practices and theology taught on this course will have an impact on the rest of your life – but I also hope that you see some ‘small wins’ while you're taking the course as well.
If you can, then please do!
The God-Connected Parent has been designed for people who thrive with a little accountability, who want to think more deeply around how to connect with God, and who want to actually get better at developing the sorts of habits which help.
If you are struggling to do this on your own, then you’re not alone – in fact, you’re probably in the majority! And that’s where this course comes in, as a companion to help guide you forward in your relationship with God.
You’re absolutely right! We’re drowning in a plethora of books, courses, strategies, methods and groups. Why add another?
With every new ‘wonder product’ which comes onto the Christian market – whether it’s how to do evangelism, create strong disciples, invest in our marriages or our parenting – I wonder whether sometimes the answer is a lot simpler than adding five-step plans, clever acronyms or man-made processes.
Because doesn’t everything come back to the Bible and prayer? Doesn’t it all start with our connection to God? This changes everything! It deepens our dependence on Christ, brings peace, enriches our marriages and family life, helps us in hard times. So creating better habits to do this should be our first priority.
I do believe that The God-Connected Parent will put us all in a stronger position to “take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold for us” (Philippians 3:12).
One more time, here's what you get when you enrol onto the God-Connected Parent course:
* 12 x teaching videos (VALUE: 12 x £2 = £24)
* 4 x bonus videos (VALUE: 4 x £2 = £8)
* 52-page digital journal including 28-day Bible reading plan (VALUE: £6)
* Lifetime access to all course content including updates (VALUE: £20)
* Membership of a private Facebook community (VALUE: priceless!)
